REFERRAL AND 24 HOUR ADVICE LINE – 0333 2000 325
Lines are staffed by substance misuse practitioners who provide support with referrals, provide triage and assessments, alcohol brief interventions, crisis intervention and provide advice on treatment pathways. They can arrange follow up appointments and signpost to other relevant services.

Available between 9am -5pm Mondays to Fridays and 10am– 4pm on Saturdays in:

DETOXIFICATION
Ideally detoxifications should be a planned event, this maximises the chances of success.
Addaction ‘gate-keep’ access to detoxification and rehabilitation services.
Detoxifications can occur at home, Helston or Bodmin Community Hospitals, Boswyns or via RCHT in complex cases.
ALCOHOL LIASON SERVICE
RCHT have an alcohol liaison service which will support hospital staff to deal with patients with problems associated with alcohol and will liaise with the community regarding discharge planning. Contact via switchboard.

ALCOHOLIC PANCREATITIS
Patients with known alcoholic pancreatitis who represent with symptoms of pancreatitis in need of admission should be referred to the medical team through the Acute GP Service. Pancreatitis due to other causes should be admitted to the surgical team.
